Blood test could revolutionize esophageal cancer care

NCT ID NCT05704530

First seen Jun 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test that detects tiny bits of tumor DNA can help doctors better stage esophageal cancer and predict if it will come back after treatment. About 248 adults with resectable esophageal cancer will give blood samples before, during, and after their standard care. The goal is to see if this test can guide more personalized treatment decisions.
