Summary
This study tested special safety kits designed to prevent children with autism from wandering away from safe places. Caregivers of 65 children aged 4 to 11 used the kits and rated how helpful each item was. The goal was to see if the kits reduced elopement, eased caregiver stress, and helped families feel more comfortable in public. Results will guide a larger program to improve child safety.
