Summary
This study tested whether a specific nerve block (erector spinae plane block) could reduce breathing problems after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in severely obese patients. 80 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block or a placebo. The main goal was to see if the block lowered the chance of diaphragm dysfunction after surgery.
