Summary
This study tested whether a specific nerve block (erector spinae plane block) could prevent breathing problems after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in 80 severely obese patients. The goal was to see if the block reduced diaphragm dysfunction and improved lung function after surgery. Results could help improve recovery for this high-risk group.
