First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily soy-based supplement called Equol can slow down stiffening of the arteries, reduce small blood vessel damage in the brain, and help prevent memory decline. Researchers will follow 369 adults aged 65-85 for two years, using scans and thinking tests to measure effects. The goal is to see if Equol, which has plant estrogen-like compounds, can protect brain health as people age.
