First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests a program to prevent high blood pressure in 528 rural Black adults in Alabama who have higher-than-normal blood pressure but not yet high enough for medication. Participants from 30 churches will either get group health education and online resources, or the same plus a health coach and community funds for healthy food and exercise. The goal is to see if this support helps lower blood pressure over two years.
