First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested whether an Apple Watch could help find a heart rhythm problem called atrial fibrillation (AF) earlier in people at high risk. Over 400 adults aged 65 and older with certain risk factors wore an Apple Watch to monitor their heart. The goal was to see if the watch could detect AF faster than standard methods, potentially leading to quicker treatment and better outcomes.
