First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eplerenone, a drug used for high blood pressure and heart failure, can help people who had a heart attack or heart injury but no blocked arteries. About 400 participants will be checked for small blood vessel problems during an angiogram. Those with vessel issues will get either usual care or eplerenone. The goal is to see if the drug reduces heart damage and improves heart function over six months.
