Could a tiny epinephrine shot before infusion prevent dangerous drops in blood pressure during C-Sections?
NCT ID NCT07480889
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a small dose of epinephrine before a continuous infusion helps keep blood pressure stable in women having planned C-sections under spinal anesthesia. About 100 women aged 18-35 will be randomly assigned to receive either the epinephrine bolus plus infusion or infusion alone. The goal is to see if the bolus reduces the chance of a significant blood pressure drop after the spinal block.
