NCT ID NCT03164057
First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a drug that affects gene activity (epigenetic priming) before standard chemotherapy is safe and effective for children with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML). About 206 participants will receive either azacitidine or decitabine for five days before starting chemo. Researchers will measure how well the treatment is tolerated, changes in DNA methylation, and long-term outcomes like survival and relapse.
