Could a simple enzyme boost make nutritional drinks work better for seniors?
NCT ID NCT06826105
Summary
This study is testing if adding a low dose of digestive enzymes (pancrelipase) to a standard nutritional drink helps hospitalized older adults absorb nutrients better. Researchers want to see if this combination improves the body's levels of important building blocks like amino acids and fats after a meal. The goal is to find a better way to manage malnutrition in older people who are at risk.
