Can a simple enzyme pill help fight malnutrition in seniors?
NCT ID NCT06826105
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a low dose of digestive enzymes (pancrelipase) to a nutritional drink helps older, hospitalized patients absorb more nutrients. It aims to see if this combination improves the body's levels of important building blocks like amino acids and fats after a meal. The goal is to find a better way to manage malnutrition in older adults who are at risk.
