Scientists scan teen brains to uncover hidden links between early exposures and mental health
NCT ID NCT05795452
Summary
This research study aims to understand how exposure to chemicals and stress during pregnancy might affect brain development and increase risk for mental health problems during adolescence. Researchers will use brain scans and behavioral assessments to study 250 teenagers who have existing prenatal exposure data. The goal is to identify biological pathways that connect early life exposures to later psychiatric symptoms like attention problems and substance use.
