Summary
This small study from NHS Lothian tested whether environmental control systems (like switches to operate lights, TV, etc.) could improve mental health in 5 people with neurological conditions. Participants answered questionnaires before and after getting the system. All 5 showed meaningful improvements in mental health scores, but the study was very small and had no comparison group, so results are preliminary.
