Tiny trial suggests smart home tech may lift mood in neurological patients
NCT ID NCT07049419
First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This small study tested whether environmental control systems (like switches to operate lights, TV, etc.) could improve mental health in people with neurological disorders. Five new users from NHS Lothian answered questionnaires before and after getting the system. All five showed meaningful improvements in mental health scores, but the tiny size means results are very preliminary.
