First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether combining a sleep apnea questionnaire (STOP-BANG) with simple physical exams can better predict breathing tube difficulties in obese patients. About 233 adults with a BMI of 30 or higher will be tested before surgery. The goal is to improve safety during anesthesia by identifying potential airway problems ahead of time.
