Summary
This study tested a short program called Making Connections Intervention (MCI) to help Black adolescents with depression and suicidal thoughts engage in school-based treatment. 29 Black students in grades 6-12 participated. The program included 1-2 sessions plus digital tools to improve treatment relevance and reduce barriers. The goal was to see if this approach could improve depression symptoms and help-seeking behaviors.
