New stomach procedure tested for teen weight loss

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether a non-surgical procedure to reduce stomach size is safe and effective for weight loss in adolescents with obesity. The procedure, called Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), is performed through the mouth using a special device. Researchers will monitor 10 participants for safety, weight loss, and improvements in related health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure over time.
