Summary

This study follows women aged 18 to 45 with endometriosis, along with healthy matched controls, for 24 months to see how the condition affects pain, cyst recurrence, and pregnancy outcomes. Participants receive their usual care, and researchers collect clinical data at regular intervals. The goal is to identify links between disease characteristics, treatments, and long-term outcomes, building a database to support future research.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
This research could improve understanding of endometriosis, helping doctors predict who is at risk for recurrence or infertility and guide better treatment plans.
What could go wrong
As an observational study, it cannot prove cause and effect. Results may be influenced by differences in routine care, and findings may not apply to all women with endometriosis.
