Scientists hunt for hidden clues in endometriosis blood tests
NCT ID NCT07164196
Summary
This study aimed to find better ways to diagnose endometriosis, a painful condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. Researchers compared levels of a specific protein (ANGPTL4) in the blood and pelvic fluid of 80 women with endometriosis against healthy women. The goal was to see if this protein could serve as a more accurate marker than current tests, potentially leading to earlier and better diagnosis.
