New study tracks hidden hormone damage in young cancer survivors

Summary

This study follows children and teens who had radiation to the brain before age 16 to check for hormone problems that can develop years later. Researchers will measure growth, thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormone levels, and also track fatigue. The goal is to create better follow-up guidelines to improve long-term health and quality of life for childhood cancer survivors.
