First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study aims to find out if two substances in spinal fluid, called NSE and S100B, can help doctors predict how well children with encephalitis (brain swelling) will recover. Researchers will follow 90 children aged 1 month to 18 years who have symptoms like confusion, seizures, or fever. The goal is to improve care by identifying which children need more intensive treatment.
