First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested whether electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) exercise could improve physical strength in 27 sedentary women aged 19-24. Participants were split into an EMS group and a control group, and their strength was measured with various tests over 8 weeks. The goal was to see if EMS could help people who don't normally exercise get stronger.
