Summary
This study tested whether a special health education program that focuses on patient empowerment can help adults with type 2 diabetes better manage their condition. Fifty participants were split into two groups: one received the empowerment-based education, the other standard care. The study measured blood sugar levels, diabetes knowledge, self-confidence, and daily self-care behaviors to see if the program made a difference.
