Summary

This study tests whether community-led learning groups can help prevent and control type 2 diabetes in rural Pakistan. Over 12,000 adults aged 20 and older from Peshawar and Swabi will take part. The approach, called Participatory Learning and Action, has worked in Bangladesh and focuses on changing behaviors through group discussions and local action.
