Can your mood predict your cancer treatment success?
NCT ID NCT06629714
Summary
This study aimed to understand if a patient's emotional state before treatment, along with certain markers in their blood, could predict how well they would respond to immunotherapy for advanced lung or stomach cancer. Researchers observed 196 patients who were starting their first treatment. They tracked patients' emotional distress and measured various blood markers related to inflammation and metabolism to see if these factors were linked to how long patients lived without their cancer getting worse.
