First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a simple, non-invasive technique called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), or tapping, on 53 pregnant women scheduled for a planned C-section. The goal was to see if tapping on specific points on the body could lower their anxiety, fear of surgery, and feelings of a traumatic birth. The approach is inexpensive and easy to learn, and may help women feel calmer before delivery.
