First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a therapy that combines tapping on specific body points with focused thoughts, can reduce premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms and improve quality of life. 70 female nursing students with PMS were split into two groups: one received 8 weekly EFT sessions, the other no extra treatment. Researchers measured symptom severity and life quality before and after the program.
