First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a therapy that combines tapping on acupressure points with focused thoughts, to see if it could reduce premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms and improve quality of life. 70 female nursing students with PMS were split into two groups: one received 8 weekly EFT sessions, the other no treatment. Researchers measured changes in PMS severity, menstrual symptoms, and well-being using standard questionnaires.
