First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a therapy that combines tapping on certain body points with talking, can reduce kinesiophobia (fear of movement) and lower the risk of pressure sores in people who have had obesity surgery. 148 adults who had bariatric surgery took part. The goal was to see if EFT helps them feel less afraid to move and stay safer from bedsores.
