New therapy aims to help kids stop Self-Harm by building emotional skills

Summary
This study tests a new outpatient therapy for children ages 7-12 who have self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITBs). The therapy focuses on improving emotion regulation and executive functioning. Researchers will compare it to standard treatment to see if it is more engaging, feasible, and effective at reducing SITBs and improving mental health. About 52 children and their families will participate.
