NCT ID NCT06721858

First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a short program of emotion-focused therapy (EFT) can help people with bipolar disorder become more aware of their moods and less reactive to emotional triggers. Fifty adults with bipolar disorder who were in a stable phase took part. Half received six sessions of EFT while in the hospital, and the other half received standard care. The goal was to see if EFT could improve emotional awareness and control, which may help with long-term treatment adherence.
