Summary
This study tested a short emotion-focused therapy program for 50 adults with bipolar disorder who were in remission. Participants attended 6 therapy sessions while in the hospital, focusing on recognizing and managing emotions like anger and stress. The goal was to see if this therapy could improve mood awareness and reduce emotional reactivity, which may help with treatment adherence and quality of life.
