New shot cuts bleeding in hemophilia a patients

Summary

This study tested a drug called emicizumab in 85 people with hemophilia A, a condition where blood doesn't clot properly. Participants received either weekly or monthly shots of emicizumab or no preventive treatment. The goal was to see if the drug could reduce the number of bleeding episodes. Results showed that emicizumab lowered the annual bleeding rate compared to no prophylaxis.
