First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 15-minute self-administered tapping exercise, called Butterfly Tapping, could reduce emotional reactivity in 46 people with PTSD. Participants were split into two groups: one did the tapping, the other did not. Brain activity was measured with EEG before and after. Results showed that the tapping group had less brain response to negative images, suggesting it may help ease emotional symptoms.
