New combo boosts blood cell recovery in severe anemia trial

Summary
This study tested whether adding eltrombopag to standard immunosuppressive therapy helps people with severe aplastic anemia achieve a complete blood count recovery sooner. About 202 participants received either standard treatment or standard treatment plus eltrombopag. The goal was to see if the combination leads to better early response at three months.
