First seen Dec 23, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested a computer system that alerts doctors when patients might have chronic kidney disease (CKD) and need further tests or specialist referral. The trial involved 65 primary care centers in Stockholm and used existing health records to measure the system's impact. The goal was to see if the alerts improve detection and management of CKD, which often goes undiagnosed.
