Computer alerts aim to stop dangerous digoxin overdoses in seniors

Summary
This study tests whether a computer alert that pops up when a doctor tries to prescribe too much digoxin can reduce the number of older patients getting unsafe doses. About 6,000 hospitalized patients aged 65 and older will be included. The goal is to prevent side effects and overdoses from this heart medication.
