Do blood salt levels predict survival for sick kids?
NCT ID NCT07205562
Summary
This study aims to understand if abnormal levels of salts and minerals (electrolytes) in the blood can predict how critically ill children will fare in the intensive care unit. Researchers will observe 200 children aged 1 month to 18 years who are admitted to the pediatric ICU. They will track the children's electrolyte levels and see if they are linked to outcomes like length of stay, need for breathing support, or mortality.
