Shockingly simple glove may help stroke survivors regain hand control

NCT ID NCT07160114

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether a glove that delivers gentle electrical pulses can improve hand function in people who had a stroke more than six months ago. Forty adults aged 40 to 60 practiced everyday tasks like grasping and releasing objects, with half using the glove during training. The goal was to see if the glove helps activate weak muscles and improve coordination better than training alone.
