Zap your muscles to beat the 'Workout Wall'

NCT ID NCT07161648

Summary

This study is testing whether using a device that sends small electrical pulses to make muscles contract can prevent 'exercise resistance.' Exercise resistance happens when people are too inactive between workouts, causing their bodies to stop getting the normal fat-burning benefits from exercise. Researchers will compare what happens when active adults take short breaks from activity versus when they use the muscle stimulation device during those breaks.
