Zap your muscles to beat the 'Workout Wall'

NCT ID NCT07161648

Summary

This study is testing whether using a device that sends small electrical pulses to make muscles contract can prevent 'exercise resistance.' Exercise resistance happens when people are too inactive between workouts, causing their bodies to not process fat from meals as well after exercise. Researchers will have active adults temporarily stop most activity and then see if the muscle stimulation device can take the place of that activity to keep their metabolism working properly.
