Which cast works best for kids' broken forearms? study stopped early.
NCT ID NCT05470257
First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at two ways to immobilize a child's broken forearm: a cast that keeps the elbow bent versus one that keeps it straight. The goal was to see which method keeps the bones aligned and causes fewer problems like slipping or burns. Only 3 children took part before the study was stopped, so no clear conclusions can be drawn.
