NCT ID NCT07513025
First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week program of elastic band exercises could help older adults in rural long-term care facilities delay or prevent sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss). Sixty participants did twice-weekly, 30-minute sessions targeting major muscle groups. The goal was to see if this low-cost, easy-to-implement approach could improve muscle mass, strength, and walking speed in a setting with limited resources.
