First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to help people with severe blunt chest trauma (like from a car crash) breathe better. It uses a non-invasive monitor (EIT) to guide a therapy that opens up the lungs and clears airways. The goal is to shorten time on a breathing machine, reduce lung infections, and lower death rates. About 80 adults on ventilators will take part.
