First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This early study looks at whether a specific protein fragment (IRW) from egg whites can help manage high blood sugar and blood pressure. About 28 adults at risk for or with type 2 diabetes, plus healthy volunteers, will drink a smoothie with the protein and have their blood and blood pressure measured. The goal is to see if the protein is absorbed and has any short-term effects.
