First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a type of tapping therapy, in 56 people who had been treated for melanoma and were now in remission. The goal was to see if EFT could reduce negative emotions like anxiety, depression, and fear that the cancer might come back. Participants received EFT training either in a group or individually, and the researchers measured changes in their emotional well-being.
