Blood filter during heart surgery may prevent organ failure

Summary

This study tests a device called Efferon LPS that filters harmful substances from the blood during and shortly after heart surgery. The goal is to see if it can lower the risk of multiple organ failure, a serious complication. About 60 adults having heart surgery with a heart-lung machine will take part. Half will receive the filtering treatment, and the other half will receive standard care.
