New blood filter aims to calm deadly organ failure in pancreatitis patients

Summary
This study tests a special blood-filtering device (Efferon LPS) in 150 adults with severe acute pancreatitis. The device is used alongside standard care to remove harmful substances from the blood, with the goal of reducing organ failure and improving survival. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus the device.
