Brain waves reveal secrets of mixing alcohol and cannabis

NCT ID NCT06259916

First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at how alcohol and cannabis, used alone or together, change brain activity and balance. About 99 adults aged 21-50 who regularly drink and use cannabis will complete one session in a mobile lab. They will use alcohol, cannabis, or both, while researchers measure brain waves with EEG and test their balance. The goal is to better understand intoxication patterns, not to treat any condition.
